3.4l DOHC engine rebuild and turbo upgrade

Well the Fiero has been together for about 7 years/60k miles now and needs a refresh. I scored a new crate engine on Ebay for $300. It just needs my better pistons and bottom end bolts from the current engine. While tearing down the old engine, I discovered the timing chain guide disintegrated...

Interesting find inside 88 Beretta Getrag

I got another trans from an 88 Beretta. When I split the case, it has the stronger spider gears in the diff usually associated with the later Q4 cars.

Another one bites the dust (Getrag)

Well I had another Getrag failure. This one was unique from the others. I was rolling along in 2nd gear going ~20 MPH. I rolled into the throttle and the car starting building boost. Near peak torque, 2nd gear just let go. Sounds like is sheared the teeth off of gear. I coasted off Woodward...

New dyno numbers, 415 WHP

I finally got back to the dyno with my turbo 3.4l DOHC car. I put down 415 WHP on pump gas. This is the same setup I have been driving for awhile now without any special prep. Boost is ~13.5 psi. Needless to say, I am ecstatic about the numbers. Now I just need that 11s time slip and I can...

Windshield rubber seal

Does anyone have a source for the rubber molding that seals the windshield? I know the Fiero Store sells a kit for $24.95, but I thought it could be had for less.
